Lighter fluid is naphtha — your Zippo wick is the applicator

Cricket/Zippo lighter fluid is basically naphtha. Pop the wick out and dab it on to lift sticker residue, fresh sap, or to degrease metal right before finish. Cheap, controlled, and already in the drawer.
